Ellen Page. Canadian actress. Star of Juno. Degrassi super fan?
In a new podcast with her friend Steve Agee, Ellen gushes about her love for Degrassi from Junior High all the way up to the current version. Ellen and Steve talk about why they love Degrassi, how they first got into it, and Ellen’s past history with some of the cast members. Here’s what Ellen had to say on Degrassi’s success:
“I think it’s a groundbreaking show, quite frankly. Because you were blown away by what you are seeing now; well Steve, this was a show in the ’80s and they dealt with abortion, AIDS…”

This comes around the same time that a conservative group is pressuring companies to pull ads from controversial shows like Degrassi. According to this article Degrassi is guilty of airing “irresponsible content” and promoting “high-risk behavior.” The entire article is quite lol. Read it if you want a good laugh.
