Season 10 has not yet been officially ordered by the networks, but we know that, in all likelihood, Degrassi will move into its 10 season (1 decade of TNG!) next fall. This morning, Executive Producer Stephen Stohn tweeted: “The writers just started brainstorming for Degrassi Season 10!!” Yesterday, Stefan Brogren tweeted a picture of the writers hard at work.
What I want to know is: what do you want to see happen in season 10?
I know that we are not yet half way through season 9, but based on what we’ve seen so far, what do you think should happen next? Do you have any storyline ideas? What issues do you want Degrassi to tackle? What characters do you want to see featured? What did you like/dislike about season 9? What should they improve on? Do you want to see another movie (Degrassi Goes… Vegas??)?

It would be nice to see Degrassi cover another abusive relationship, but from another angle. Perhaps a verbally and/or emotional abusive one or one where the female does the abusing. It would also be interesting to see the abused stay in the relationship for a long period. Most teenagers/young adults don’t even realize what verbal and emotional abuse is and therefore don’t recongize it, so it would be a good educational piece for young adults so that they can see and know the signs and act accordingly.
Another storyline I’d love to see is another lesbian relationship. The show needs a solid lesbian character or even a bisexual female character, but done tastefully and effectivly. I would hope not much like the current Reily storyline or the previous Palex one, but something different and something somewhat out-there. It would need to be consistant, as well. None of this fly-by-night expermenting stuff, but a lesbian that becomes attracted to a straight female and cannot act accordingly. We never saw that with Palex, we never saw it from Alex’s viewpoint, so it could be something to see a character struggling not just with their sexuality but also with having a crush on someone they can’t have and cannot change. The character handling the rejection would be the most profound.

I think that KC should move on from Claire and move onto someone else, but not Jenna because Jenna annoys me. I think that he should like one of the upcoming freshman in season 10

i loved alli and jonny so much they are the best couple in the show, i wacthed it every day cant wait to see 2010, im a jamaican, i would loved to join it as well.

I would like to see more on the graduates like Emma,Manny,liberty.Also a wedding either Spinner and Jane or Manny and Jay.Another idea that could get alot of ratings is a storyline featuring a carcrash where someone dies.Also I wonder what their going to do with the kids who graduate this season,so I like to see maybe Jane,peter,Danny at college.Another thing is for someone to have a baby and keep and raise it like maybe Alli.Also you could have Craigs little sister Angela come back and be in the 7th grade.(which just might be the new and surprising thing for season 10 because we havent seen junior high since seasons 1 and 2.)And lastly please just get Sean and Emma together!!!!!!!!!!!!!
