Degrassi Season 10 Moves to Telenovela Format

TeenNick announced recently that the plan for Degrassi Season 10 is to test out a telenovela format. A telenovela is essentially a primetime soap opera. The network will air half hour episodes Monday – Thursday for six weeks this summer. “We’re making additional episodes, a little more in the telenovela format, a little bit faster, cheaper and more efficient,” Nickelodeon president Zarghami said.
