Degrassi was featured on MTV’s 10 On Top today, previewing next week’s summer finale. The clip features short interviews with Aislinn Paul, Jahmil French, and Christine Prosperi. It also includes a few new clips from this week’s episodes with a few spoilers.

We are now getting into the swing of things Degrassians, and the cast have been doing interviews galore this week! The latest comes from Degrassi newbie Justin Kelly AKA Clare’s new love interest, Jake. The TV Addict posted this interview with him today, in which he talks about joining the show and his character’s relationship with Clare. He also mentions the ongoing Cake vs. Eclare shipper wars. Here is what he had to say about that:
Are you at all nervous about how the fandom will react to your character coming in between “eClare” and what do you think of “Cake?”
I love it. I think it’s great. Especially with the whole dynamic with “eClare,” I think the battle of the desserts is really something. I think that “eClare,” Eli and Clare together have built such an iconic TV relationship over the last season and to step into that, to be that other guy that breaks up “eClare,” I don’t believe that “eClare” fans are going to like them [Jake and Clare] off the top if they’’re keen on Eli. But at the same time Jake and Clare start to build their own bond throughout the season and we really see a change from where they meet back in the third episode to where they are now.
Will Jake have any storylines with characters aside from Clare?
It’s mostly Clare, but there is interaction with Eli through Clare being a mutual friend between us, we start to build our own weird relationship. And the stuff we’re shooting now, Jake starts to become buddies with Drew. I had a couple scenes with Luke [Drew] recently where we were shooting, it takes place in a [Redacted to avoid Spoilers!], so Drew and Jake become buddies over that time and I think that’s kind of in the works.

Tonight was the night we’ve been waiting for! The premiere of Degrassi Season 11!!
As I type this post, I’m sitting in a hotel room in Toronto. I attended the premiere party at Much Music HQ earlier this evening. It was absolutely insane. There was at least double the number of fans who showed up compared to last year. But I got a lot of really good pictures, and a few videos as well. I wont be uploading pictures and video tomorrow night, because I have to work all day. But trust me — it’s worth the wait. In the meantime, check my updates on Twitter if you haven’t been following me already.
Of course there were a lot of promos that came out from TeenNick tonight. I advise you all to check out ACES, because they have all of them. Including this promo for tomorrow night’s episode “LoveGame.” Can’t wait!!

We’re in the final stretch! That’s right Degrassians, we are less than 1 week until the premiere of Degrassi season 11. So it was no surprise when a new promo from Much Music came out earlier today. The promo focuses on Bianca and Drew with brief clips of Fiona, Clare, Jenna, and more. It also features the now popular slogan “The Kids Are Not Alright” (kinda catchy, yes?), and our first look at Zane (finally!).

The TV Addict has once again leaked new spoilers from season 11. According to a “source,” an unexpected death in the premiere will greatly impact the rest of the summer season (kind of sounds like the Skins series 4 premiere, doesn’t it?). As you are all aware by now, the new Degrassi trailer was released earlier today. They gave the promo to EW.com to post, in a similar way that various celebrity news sources were leaking scenes from Degrassi Takes Manhattan and mid-season 10 premieres last year. The minute and a half long trailer may remind you of the various Skins trailers from previous years, but it definitely builds on the success of last season’s “Shark In The Water” promo. Degrassi was mentioned on MTV’s 10 On Top this morning. They spoke with Aislinn and Charlotte, and also talked a little about new season 11 cast member Justin Kelly. It’s a cute segment, however it contains a major spoiler for this Friday’s finale episode. For some reason, MTV decided to show a clip of what is likely one of the last scenes (epicly lame if you ask me). DO NOT watch this video if you don’t want to be spoiled!!!

Adam is back, after only having a brief appearance in Part 1. And it looks like there is going to be some major Holly J/Fiona development.
