On Sept. 26th, Nickelodeon will be hosting its annual “Worldwide Day of Play” in which the network’s TV channels and websites will go off the air for 3 hours. During that time viewers are encouraged to get outside and have some fun. In New York, a 4K race will be held to coincide with the event for its NYC RBC Race for the Kids. It will feature appearances from Degrassi cast members Melinda Shankar and Sam Earle, and will help raise money for Big Brothers, Big Sisters of NYC. For more information click here.

I just got back to the hotel from the Degrassi Goes Hollywood premiere, and I have to say that it was amazing!!! We got to talk to so many different cast members, the movie itself was awesome, and it was such a great night!!

Over the next 2 days I will be working to upload all of the premiere content to the site. This is what you can expect:

There’s still an opportunity to get wristbands to the Toronto screening if you weren’t able to on Friday. They can be picked up at Bloor Cinema at 5pm (3 hours before the 8:00 screening). All wristband holders who attend the screening will be entered in the draw to win a trip to Hollywood. There are also 3 secondary prizes which include Degrassi merchandise and a tour of the set!
Hopefully I’ll see some of you at the screening. I’m making a Degrassi-Fans.com sign so I’ll probably be hard to miss! lol

Today is the day that wristbands for the Degrassi Goes Hollywood screening in Toronto become available. They can be picked up at 299 Queen Street W. between 12 and 1pm (2 hours from the time I’m posting this). According to Stefan on Twitter there is already a lineup! For those of you who are going, I hope that you have so much fun. Take lots of pictures and send them to me at Erin@degrassi-fans.com. Thanks to those of you who already emailed!

Unfortunately I am unable to go to the screening because I have to work today and can’t get to Toronto to get a wristband. But I will still be covering the premiere; posting news clips, etalk segments, interviews, etc.

A press release has surfaced for the Toronto premiere of Degrassi Goes Hollywood. It doesn’t contain very much new information except for confirm that Lauren, Cassie, Stacey, Adamo, Jake E., and Jason Mewes will all be in attendance.

As well, the press release boasts about the news that Degrassi Goes Hollywood reached a million viewers on The N last week and was the highest rated program in the networks history!

Details about the Toronto premiere screening of Degrassi Goes Hollywood in Toronto have been posted at CTV.ca! The screening is set to take place on Aug. 26th at 8pm, and those who attend will be entered to win a trip to Hollywood. In order to obtain a wristband needed to get into the theatre, fans can line up at 299 Queen Street W. (John Street entrance) on Aug. 21st where they will be available. Adamo Ruggiero and Lauren Collins are currently in New York promoting Degrassi Goes Hollywood. They will be appearing on the Alexa Chung Show. Also, according to Degrassi on Facebook they will be at Planet Hollywood Times Square TOMORROW to donate some memorabilia at 1:30pm! If you’re in the area, why not head over?
