Take this with a grain of salt but this article is reporting that Chris Brown is apparently “furious” that Rihanna is seeing Drake, because he thought that he and Rihanna were just taking a break until the court case was settled. The “source” says that “Drake may catch something when Chris sees him next.”
We think Aubrey can totally take him on.

Just announced today, Drake will be appearing at the Much Music Video Awards in Toronto this Sunday! He recently shot a music video for his song “Best I Ever Had,” it seems only natural that he make an appearance at the awards show in his hometown. We also expect other Degrassi cast members to attend the MMVAs this Sunday, so hopefully we’ll get some new pictures!

Stacie and Amanda (or DJ Demanda and DJ Mistylicious as they are now called lol) have been doing very well DJing their 80’s parties across Canada. They’re hosting a party in Whistler this weekend and did an interview discussing their DJing skills, their connection to Degrassi, and their surprise at how successful their parties have been. Here’s an excerpt from this article:
“DJing isn’t all we’re doing right now, it’s just kind of a hobby that we’ve just gotten more and more into as it’s developed because it’s so fun,” Mistysyn said with a laugh. “…The DJing just kind of grew out of our love for ’80s music.”

The first wave of Teen Choice Award nominations were announced today with Degrassi notably missing from the list. Even The Secret Life of the American Teenager (AKA Degrassi Jr. lmao) got a few nominations. Shenae Grimes’ 90210 did well, getting several nominations. Although Shenae herself didn’t get any, a couple of her co-stars did.
Degrassi has already won 2 Teen Choice Awards in recent years. Additional nominees are expected to be announced soon. Check out the TCA Website for all the details.

Drake made an appearance on Conan O’Brian a couple of days ago. He performed with Jamie Foxx on the new track “Digital Girl.” This was his first network TV performance and he did an amazing job! Things just seem to keep getting better for Drake.
On a side note, I realise that I haven’t been posting very much Drake news lately, but here at D-F.com we could not be more proud of him!! It’s so great to see him and the rest of the Degrassi alumni do so well!

Comments Off on Adamo Participates in LGBT Hot Hollywood Teen Panel
Adamo Ruggiero participated in a panel of young LGBT stars hosted by Kathy Griffin on Thursday night presented by Academy of Television Arts and Science’s Diversity Committee. Adamo was asked about playing Marco, as well as his own coming out story.
“I got Marco just around the time I was starting to stand up for myself,” Ruggiero, who had been picked on in school for being different, remembered. “So Marco was kind of my idol.”
“I felt like I could do what I wanted to do on the playground and on TV as well. And so, growing up with him, he was coming out faster than I was, and I just wanted to keep up.”
Griffin followed that question by asking what it was like to be playing a character who was more out than the then very young Toronto-born actor.
“It was petrifying,” the actor admitted. “And my parents were watching the show! I ran out of excuses [not to watch it with them]. At the beginning I kind of resented [Marco] a bit, but then I realized I had like the best gay manual ever… and I got to gauge my parents reaction.”

The main plot of the season premiere (901/902) entitled “Just Can’t Get Enough” Part 1 and 2, will “feature” Peter and Mia according to Stephen Stohn on Twitter. You will remember that last year Mia was the focus of the season premiere as well. Nina Dobrev is leaving Degrassi eventually for her new show on the CW, the “Vampire Diaries.” It seems likely that her last episode is early in the season, because they have already shot it according to this eTalk clip, but we’re not sure if this season premiere is actually her last episode. Furthermore, does “feature” mean that they are the main focus of the episode? Or does it just mean that they are going to be in the episode?
The N put up a new mini music video for the song “Rescue You” which Jake Epstein will be performing in the Degrassi Goes Hollywood movie. The video features Craig/Ellie clips from the movie and previous seasons of Degrassi. It’s been posted by ACES on YT.

As you can tell we now have a new layout!!!! It’s inspired by the 3 main “casts” of Degrassi: the original ’80s cast, the TNG season 1 – 7 cast, and the new cast.
And I’ve also switched to WordPress! It’s so much easier to work with and hopefully all the bugs and problems you guys were having with comments and such will be fixed. It’s still not 100% perfect yet, but I’m getting there.

“Say What You Will,” the song written and originally performed by Damhnait Doyle for JT’s memorial scene on Degrassi, has been remade by Canadian singer Justin Hines. Justin copes with a rare form of Larsen Syndrome which keeps him wheelchair bound, but he hasn’t let this stop him from pursuing his career in music. You might recognize him from his song “Wish You Well,” getting heavy play on radio stations, or from the Ontario Tourism Commericals he is singing in.
You can check out the music video for his version of “Say What You Will” right here on Youtube. It’s such a beautiful song. I wonder if he is a Degrassi fan. lol

CTV announced their fall schedule yesterday, with Degrassi in a similar timeslot as the past two seasons.
Degrassi will air back to back episodes on Sunday night at 7:00 and 7:30pm on CTV. As well, Degrassi will air weeknights at 7:00pm on ‘A.’ The “Degrassi Goes Hollywood” movie will premiere on CTV sometime in September.

There is a rumour going around that our very own Jake Epstein is joining the touring cast of the hit teen musical Spring Awakening. There is no official confirmation yet, but considering Jake’s recent theatre success in Toronto, we would not be surprised! Could Jake be coming to a city near you?? We’ll keep you posted!
