I hope you guys enjoyed the episode last night! As always, here is the TeenNick promo for “Jesus, Etc. Part 1” which premieres next Friday at 9pm ET on TeenNick & Much Music. This episode marks the long-awaited return of Fitz. It’s been almost 6 months since we last saw Fitz in an episode of Degrassi, so hopefully we can make it through the next 6 days!

As most of you already know, the first scene from “Jesus, Etc. Part 1” was accidently leaked by TeenNick earlier this week. They were posting the sneak peek for last night’s episode, but showed a scene from next week’s episode instead. You can of course find that all over YouTube.

Nickelodeon put out a new press release today, and it describes the network’s successful year. Once again, Nickelodeon is 2010’s top ranked cable network. The press release also includes information about TeenNick’s ratings, mainly fueled by Degrassi’s success:

TeenNick—the 24-hour network for teens—delivered its most-watched year in 2010 with its core audience of teens 12-17 (+8% in delivery), and total viewers (+16%). TeenNick’s record-breaking yearly performance was fueled by Degrassi, whose six-week summer telenovela-style television event (July 20-Aug. 26) posted triple- and quadruple-digit gains with teens 12-17 (+650%) and total viewers (+605%).

Just a reminder that this Friday at 8pm ET TeenNick is airing the HALO Awards (Help And Lead Others). The HALO Awards are a unique awards program which is all about recognizing some amazing young people who help out in their community.

As many of you know, this year TeenNick, Free the Children, and Degrassi are teaming up to offer the experience of a lifetime to one lucky winner. The winner and a couple of their friends will have the opportunity to join a few Degrassi cast members on a Free The Children trip. During the HALO Awards, they will announce the name of the winner. I know that a lot of you guys have been entering everyday. Good luck to all of you!

TeenNick is once again hosting its annual Halo Awards this December. The Awards are a unique take on awards shows, as this time it’s celebrities presenting the awards to teens who volunteer to help make the world a better place!

This year, an amazing Degrassi contest is taking place along with the awards show. Visit the TeenNick website to watch a video with the cast talking about how they help out in their community. Then enter the contest to win a “life changing trip with the cast of Degrassi!!” The trip is a Me to We Volunteer and Leadership Trip similar to their Degrassi trips earlier this year. That is one AMAZING prize.

To enter the contest, you first have to think about how you help out in your community and lead others to do the same. Then go to TeenNick.com to use their form and enter a tweet. They will then ask you for some contact information in case you win! To enter you must be between the ages of 16 – 24, and you may enter once a day.

We all know that Annie Clark is a huge Degrassi fan. She lived out the ultimate Degrassi fantasy by getting a part on the show. In the latest interview with TeenNick.com, Annie talks about her love for Degrassi as well as graduating high school and Fiona’s amazing wardrobe. Here’s what she had to say on her Friday night Degrassi dates:

I also saw on the twitters that you actually sit down and watch Degrassi on Friday nights, right?
Yeah, out of the cast I’m the one who’s the biggest Degrassi fan. I’ve seen every one multiple times, of all the seasons. I love to see how they turn out — because we only read through them once in the readthroughs and I don’t read them again after that. And even though it’s hard watching myself, I love it.

Do you have certain people you want to watch with, or like rules about whether you can talk during the show?
I definitely don’t want interruptions, and everyone has to sing along with the theme song with me. My parents are obsessed with it, too; they’ll watch it even when I’m not there. Even if I’m not in the episode, they DVR it and watch it together. But as for who I watch with, I’m not picky, the more the merrier.

TeenNick’s next interview is with Charlotte Arnold, who primarily speaks about her thoughts on the highly conversial Holly J. episode “Love Lockdown.” On the scene when Holly J. leaves the condo, Charlotte says:

That was really a tough scene, because I was getting notes to play it happy — like she was going out of her way to make things seem normal. And then, we have TVs all around the production office so whatever we’re shooting on set, the writers and producers see. And I think some feedback came back that I was maybe looking too convincing? So we made it more forced. It was a very nuanced sort of scene.
