Netflix still finds a home for Landon Liboiron despite passing on the pick up of his recent series Terra Nova. Landon has been cast as Peter in the new series Hemlock Grove which will air on Netflix in early 2013. The Hollywood Reporter has released this bit of information on the show’s premise and Landon’s character:

The 13-episode horror show from director/executive producer Eli Roth is set in a ravaged Pennsylvania steel town and begins with the discovery of a young girl’s body. As the crime goes unsolved and outlandish rumors mount, Roman (Bill Skarsgard) and Peter (Liboiron) decide to find the killer on their own, confronting unspeakable truths about themselves and Hemlock Grove as the mystery unfolds.

Terra Nova has not been completely abandon by 20th Century Fox according to reports but Landon, on his newly acquired twitter account, confirmed the out look isn’t good.

Landon has also created a new YouTube channel after his last one was accidentally deleted and loaded his music to Pure Volume.

Ever since Landon Liboiron landed one of the lead roles in the highly anticipated television show Terra Nova, fans have been predicting that he will be the next Degrassi cast member to make it big. Frequently compared to other former Degrassi students like Aubrey Graham, Nina Dobrev, and Shenae Grimes, Landon seems poised to make his mark in Hollywood.

Terra Nova is set to premiere this Monday on Fox, and the early reviews have been mixed. It’s going to be interesting to see if the show is able to keep up with its own hype. Nonetheless, Landon is definitely getting a lot of exposure. He describes his character on the show as a “quintessential boy dreaming of independence.” Landon explains: “He is the only one (in the family) not excited about going back to Terra Nova, because he has this beautiful girlfriend in the future that he does not want to leave. But it was either give up his girlfriend or give up his family … And then he is opened up to this crazy, vast new world, you know, that he really didn’t think was possible. And it really becomes the story of a boy turning into man and having to deal with larger responsibilities greater than he ever imagined.” [Source]

Sounds interesting! I’m sure that all Degrassi fans will be tuning in on Monday night to see how Landon does. Terra Nova airs at 8pm on Fox.

If you were watching the Superbowl last night (while patiently waiting for Glee?), you may have spotted this first look at Landon’s new TV series Terra Nova. I think it looks amazing! You can see Landon a couple of times in this promo, which is very exciting. It definitely looks like Fox has another hit on their hands.

From what we’ve been hearing recently, Landon is in Australia right now filming the series. The pilot is expected to premiere in May 2011, with the entire show launching later this fall.

The first images from Terra Nova have been released in Entertainment Weekly, and a couple of them feature our own Landon Liboiron! You may remember that Landon was cast in this new Spielberg TV series late last year. Landon plays the son in the Shannon family. I’m guessing that these images are from the 2 hour pilot which is expected to premiere in May (with the rest of the series launching in Fall 2011).

Another person that the cast became close with was first time director, Marvel comic artist turned filmmaker, Kaare Andrews. When I asked whether Landon felt anxious working with a director on their first project, it was a resounding ‘no’. “It’s a very vibrant energy when it’s a new director. He’s always very excited and he’s always very anxious to try things. I wasn’t nervous about it at all because we were all very confident in Karre’s decisions. It was our job to take hold of what we needed to do. He was always right there with us.”

Various news sources are reporting tonight that our very own Landon Liboiron has been cast in Fox’s upcoming sci-fi series Terra Nova. Steven Spielberg is executive producing the highly-anticipated series which will reportedly premiere next year. The show is set in 2149 when the planet is threatened by overpopulation and environmental problems, and involves a time travelling family. Landon will play the role of Josh, the 17 year old son in the family. The pilot is scheduled to begin filming next month in Australia! This is amazing news and we couldn’t be more proud! Congrats Landon!!

This week Back-Pocket Believers interviewed Landon Liboiron, the next cast member in their Degrassi interview series. In the interview, Landon talks about the (now controversial…) Holly J/Declan relationship and where he sees his character in the future. He also discusses his upcoming projects and other favourite storylines on Degrassi. Here is an excerpt:

Holly J and Declan had a long distance relationship in the beginning of the Boiling Point. What’s your opinion on long distance relationships?
Long distance relationships suck. It’s one of those things where the person you’re dating has to mean the world to you, that you’d be willing to basically wait until it can work. Or you work your ass off to make it work. I’m not a big supporter of the long distance thing, but if she (or he), hits you where it hurts, then I say try to make it work.

A new interview with Landon Liboiron from The Montreal Gazette has surfaced. In the interview he discusses life on Degrassi and obsessive Degrassi fans. Isn’t it great to hear from Landon? Here’s what he had to say about reading comments online:

“There was a promo that they did last year to introduce the new characters,” says Liboiron, on the line from a coffee shop in Vancouver. “I was like ‘You know what? I’m going to read these comments and see what people are saying.’ The very first one I read was, ‘Eyebrow tweezers. Ever heard of them?’ I was like, ‘Screw this, I’m not reading anymore of these.’ I’m going to let it all sit out there and not worry about it. So I try to avoid reading it as much as possible.”
